Subject:  IMPORTANT NOTICE TO student-faculty collaborative grant proposers...

Dear faculty-student collaborative proposers:
A number of people have left proposals on the collaborative grant servers, but not submitted them.  We cannot tell if you actually meant to leave them that way or simply didn't realize you had not completed the process. Thus we ask that all proposers, who have not already verified that their proposal was actually submitted, do the following BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON:

1) Log into the server using the account from which you prepared/submitted the proposal.
                Undergraduate proposals go to: http://www.uwosh.edu/ugradgrants
                 Graduate proposals go to: http://www.uwosh.edu/gradgrands
The log in link is near the right side of the light blue bar.

2) Click on the "My unsubmitted proposals" tab.  You will see a view similar to that below showing any proposals that you are working on but have not completed the submission process.  If a proposal you want submitted is on this list continue with step 3.  If the proposal you want submitted is not on this list go to step 5 to double check that submission worked.  Notice that the "State" of unsubmitted proposals is "private".

3) **********IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE SUBMISSION PROCESS.**********
Click on the title of the proposal you intended to submit.  This should give you one of the following view.  If you don't see this please contact gutow@uwosh.edu to diagnose the problem.

Notice the red "private" in the green bar.  This indicates you have not completed the submission process.  Continue with step 4.

4) The "State" indicator is a drop-down menu.  You can use this to submit your proposal by selecting the menu item "submit".  Alternatively you may scroll down to near the bottom of this page and click on the "submit" link to submit the proposal.  The view should change to what is below.

Notice that the "State" in the green bar now reads "directorReview".  This indicates it is ready to be assigned to reviewers.

5) Double check that the submission worked by clicking on the "Submitted proposals" tab near the top of the page.  This will give you a list of all the submitted proposals on the server.  You can only access your own.  Scroll down the list (you may have to look at multiple pages) and make sure that your proposal shows up with a state of "directorReview".

6) Now you may log off.

Thank you,
Jonathan Gutow
Director of the Undergraduate Research Task Force.
