Diatomic Fluorine Vibration
Using DZV theory, only one significant vibrational frequency was predicted occuring at 1131.73 cm
-1.
According to NIST
3, the fundamental frequency of fluorine should be at 894 cm
-1.
This discrepancy accounts for a 27% error between NIST and our
calculations, suggesting that DZV is not perfect when making these
predictions.
